So clearly I suck at updating this thing. The problem is I have loads to talk about but i think of it when I'm at work or out, by the time I'm home I've forgotten half of it. Which is why I've joined twitter, now you can have up to date news on me. Don't expect any deep and ground braking thoughts, i think very random stuff. A lot of it will probably be lyrics or quotes, sometimes they best some up my mood, sometimes they're stuck in my head.

I want to try and update this site more often but I'm not in the best place right now (how horribly clique is that?) and i don't want to be complaining at you all the time. So we'll see how everything goes but for now welcome to the dark side of the moon, expect radio darkness starting...now.

Still Ga Ga at the Go Go

    16/01/08

    Woh...long time no update...sorry?
Truth be told i've been busy. I've been busy playing on my Wii, that thing is sooooooo addictive. I've already finished Super Mario Galaxy (took me a week) and Super Paper Mario (took a week and a half). I've put Mysims on hold because the load up times piss me off. I don't understand Sonic and the Secret Rings which drives me mad because i love Sonic the Hedgehog. I'm loving Mario Party 8 and Wii Sports. I'm almost done with Zelda The Twilight Princess (awesome awesome game) and i've orders nIGHTS and Zack and Wiki. Plus i'm waiting for Super Smash Bros to come out AND i'm desperatly hunting for a copy of Sonic and Mario at the Olympics, they're all sold out!

Yeah, life is pretty much all about the Wii at the moment. It's also about my new TV. The old one was beyond crap. It had been dropped so the corners of the screen were odd colors and the dvd player only worked when it felt like it. I havn't watched Airplane for about 2 years becuase of that tv. True i could have watched it on my laptop but...well i;m always on my laptop when i watch tv so...doesn't work.
Anyway, new tv, its a Phillips 32' HD ready LCD tv which looks so pretty. I can't get over the quality of the screen. I honestly feel like i could touch the actors on there. And the sound! Oh my god the sound. You haven't lived until you've seen Phantom of the Opera on this tv, it will blow your mind! The next movie i'm going to watch on it is Cats, i'm very excited.

Ga Ga at the Go Go

    13/11/07

I hit a rut last week, I was....well...nothing for a few days, nothing appealed to me, tv, music, food, dvds, even the internet! I don't even know why which freaks me out. It's happened before and I'm sure it'll happen again. The worst thing is i can't force myself out of it. Anyone who knows me well enough knows i'm very obsessive and a bit (...lot...) of a fan girl, i need something to be a fan of. I'm also very single minded, so although i'll always be a die hard Cats, X-Men and Discworld fan, I can't focus on all of them at once, not properly. I also get 'mini obsessions' in between the big ones. So I might be stuck on a particular movie or musical, or series or book or anything. I never do these things by half's, i'm big fan girl. But for a few weeks now i've had nothing, that's what added to the rut i think. As i was saying i can't force myself back onto something but luckily for me i finally managed to get hold of a copy of Hair the musical on DVD, and things are now ga ga at the go go.

If you haven't seen or listened to Hair then go out and get hold of a copy now. It's from the 70's so its not exactly expensive and it's totally worth it. The music is fantastic and the message is deep (never thought i'd say that about anything). I've had it constantly stuck in my head for days now and i'm loving it. Seriously, check out these lyrics:
    Gimme head with hair
    Long beautiful hair
    Shining, gleaming,
    Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
    Shoulder length or longer
    Here baby, there mama
    Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
    Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
    My hair

    And it gets better!
I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
    Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
    Oily, greasy, fleecy
    Shining, gleaming, streaming
    Flaxen, waxen
    Knotted, polka-dotted
    Twisted, beaded, braided
    Powdered, flowered, and confettied
    Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Try singing that after a couple of drinks.

I know I say it a lot, but go out and buy this movie, you'll thank me later.

I should be getting a Wii in the next few days. I got one free with my new phone. I was promised one 30 days after the phone but it didn't arrive so i complained and it should arrive soon now. I'm so excited about it. It's a Wii and it's Frii! Bad pun there lol.

I was looking at Wii games on amazon.co.uk and i was shocked to see a new section to Amazon's super shopping area. Shoes! You can now buy shoes on amazon.co.uk!!! What is the world coming to? When i'm on Amazon i want to see books, dvds, cds, the odd electrics and games, the things you find in a virgin megastore (or not as the case may be, damn you Branson), not shoes, they'll be selling clothes next, then they'll be no hope. I can see the future now, Amazon the ultimate online superstore, buy your entertainment, clothing, furniture and food all in one 'convenient' place, all with super saver free delivery!

    Viva La 90's

    06/11/07

Yeah i'm on a bit of a 90s kick, i've got my old pop albums, it's all good.
I found a facebook group dedicated to being a 90s child, which i very much am. I was born in 86 so my childhood was very much spent in the 90s. They had a list along the lines of you know your a 90's kid if... I've streamlined it and put it on my site. Enjoy.

And now for the true 90s kids out there

Remember the Postbag Dance? Love it.

    90's

    That is so true!

    HOLLY FLURKIN SNIT!!!

    03/11/07

911 are on a reunion tour and I didn't know about it!!!! For those who don't know I was (hell, am) a HUGE 911 fan. They were my first love, my first boyband, first concert, first a lot of things. 90's pop was my thing and 911 were the best thing about it in my eyes. I went to see them on their Greatest Hits Tour and their first reunion tour, i'd go see them again in a minute. My only options right now are to get to Cardiff tomorrow or Belfast on the 4th December, both of which are impossible. Frick!

Yeah yeah i'm a wee bit sad, but I don't care, I still know all the words to their songs, i'll bet I can even still do the dance to Bodyshakin'...ah the memories....

Moving on (before I make myself cry), a few things i've picked up from the world wide web:

This is an amazing flash animation, well worth watching.

Not much else to say so...bye

    G-A-YMCA!

I'm home alone right now so i'm taking the opportunity to sing at the top of my lungs (well, almost at the top, I do have neighbours after all), and anyone who loves singing outrageously I recommend the Spamalot soundtrack. 'Diva's Lament' and 'The Song That goes Like This' are gooduns, as is 'His Name Is Lancelot', which is the reason for the title. If you don't get it then go out and get the soundtrack you poor uneducated fool.

On a less important note, i'm kinda disappointed (but not surprised) to find that Spamalot isn't in my computers dictionary, it has that horrible red line under it, poo.

I know I have a whole site dedicated to them but I want to show off one of my dolls. I'm soooo uber proud of her, the top and boots came out better than I could have hoped.

I finally watched 'The Simpsons Movie' (huh...my computer also dosn't know the words Simpsons or movie...its the movie thing that worries me...) and i have to say I enjoyed it. It could have been better and it didn't feel right watching more than 20 minutes of continuous Simpsons (although I agree with many people saying it could have been longer). But there were some absolutely brilliant scenes that make up for any flaws. Ralph singing the 20th Fox opener, Greenday's death and of course Spider Pig to name a few. My favorite line was President Schwarzenegger saying "I was elected to lead not to read", genius!

A couple of Youtube links for you now. Firstly a video I found via Miss Cellainia. This is animated female characters (mostly, but not all Disney) telling their men to 'hit the road jack', totally awesome.

And, even tho you've probably already seen it, this is 'Torn' as performed at the 2006 Secret Policeman's Ball (which is awesome anyway). I saw this on tv a while ago and though it was brilliant, so when I finally got the internet back I hunted it down (admittedly it wasn't hard to find but...meh)

And now something for all you facebook fans out there

    Facecrack!

Not even for a big clock

    19/10/07

Some people are idiots you know? My job is basically to book peoples company cars in for services/mots/repairs. So I booked a guy in today for Monday morning, a date he had asked for. He calls back in 40 minutes after I left him a voice mail to confirm his booking asking us to rebook it for the Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday. So I call back the garage and rebook for Wednesday, left another voice mail, no problem. I happened to see the job sheet again later on. The driver had called in 3 minutes after my last voice mail to say he can't do Wednesday and wants Tuesday, Thursday or Friday! I wouldn't book that one again for a big clock...hell I'll probably end up doing it tomorrow, it's sods law.

I know it's been going around the internet for forever by now but i only just decided to give Simpsonize me a go. So here's me as a Simpson

It's not that accurate but it's the best I could get. That site's a laugh, give it a go if you haven't already.

I know i've already praised Sam and Fuzzy but I think I'll just have to praise it again. What's not to love about a comic that invented the Ninja Mafia? The creator, Sam Logan, has been doing more in-depth story lines for a while now and they are amazing. So funny! My most recent favorite is this one. I love Malcolm, love the conspiracy!
I'm mainly bringing it up to mention the new t-shirt design. How awesome is that? I want one!

Anywhos, i'm off to bed, i've got to work tomorrow, on a Saturday, Saturday!!

    Is anybody still here?

    17/10/07

Woh, that was a looooong break. It was a lot longer than I intended it to be.

I literally got the internet back yesterday, so I spent yesterday evening updating BC Boo. While I was off-line I rebuilt the whole thing so it was a big step.

So what's been happening since early August? Well...not a lot!
I'm all settled in the new house which is good. My new bed is shit, never buy furniture from Argos, NEVER. I've already had to patch it up about 5 times, i'd get rid of it and sleep on a mattress on the floor if I didn't need the storage space.
I got the most amazing bookshelf. It's an Ikea one and it's bright red! I love red, i'm always drawn to it. And I love my bookshelf. It's a biggun' because I accumulated a lot of books when I was at uni, there was a Waterstones on campus, it was so easy! I decided to dedicate a shelf to my Terry Pratchett books, because I have that many, and my Pratchett shelf overfloweth. I even realised I was two books away from a complete set, 'The Colour of Magic' and 'Mort'. So being the sad muppet I am I brought them. I now have the full Discworld set, including 'Making Money' (which is awsome btw, go read it now).
Another thing i got from Ikea (well, 2 things really) were shelves for my DVD's and CD's. I have a lot of DVD's, I compulsively buy them, in fact I just now pre-ordered 'The Jungle Book' off of amazon. I was convinced I would need three of these shelving thingy's but I only brought two, and that was all I needed. My CD's fit perfectly on one and my DVD's (with a bit of help from a shelf and a half from my bookcase) fit on the other. (Even though i'm using the top shelf of the DVD unit for my TV ariel at the moment).

I've also got a collage going on my wall at the moment. When I was at uni my old laptop broke which left me with nothing to do. All my music was on it, I couldn't get on the internet and I couldn't watch any DVD's because I didn't have a tv, so I very randomly started cutting things out of magazines and turning them into a collage on my wall. I really liked it and carried it on when I moved into my 2nd year house.
When I moved in with my auntie for a while I couldn't really bring it back because it was her wall, but my eternity without the internet here brought it back. And it's bigger and better than before.

It's not the best picture and i'm not finished yet but you get the idea.

A couple of links for you now. Those of you in the UK may remember an advert for 'The Observer Music Magazine' a while ago. It featured cute little blobby representations of famous musicians, well this is the website of the guy who made them. It shows all the little ones from the advert and some unseen ones, it's so cute and odd, but cool. Click the Bowie to see go to the website.

When you see a url called effing pot .com you know you're in for a good time. Effing Pot is the best of British, an online dictionary for those American's trying to understand the British language (or just for us Brit's that need a refresher). I was looking through it for an example to put here and suddenly realised how much of it I just think off as normal talking, not British slang (does that make sense?). So I gave up.

I'm working on some more content stuff so keep an eye on this space!
